OIL500 - Customized One Day Oil Spill - 8.00 Hours

Description

This Customized Program can provide individual organizations with the opportunity for their personnel to receive oil spill response training tailored to meet their specific needs.

The training can include any of the modules offered in the standard oil spill response courses.

Topics

Topics covered in the course include but are not limited to:

  • Contingency planning and response team training
  • Security, damage claims and public relations
  • Movement, containment and cleanup of oil
  • Boom and skimmer design
  • Shoreline protection, cleanup and restoration
  • Reporting and documenting oil spills
  • Communications equipment
  • Oil recovery from soil and oily debris disposal
  • Oil-spill contractors and cooperatives
  • Containing and recovering oil on surface water
  • Sorbents and chemical agents
  • Preventing oil spills
  • Aerial surveillance
