PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!
In order to participate in this course (OSHA 500), the participant MUST verify that they have applied safety and health principles in their job for at least 5 years (or 3 years with a safety & health degree, CSP, or CIH certification). This verification MUST be achieved by accomplishing the following:
1. Verification by TEEX Customer Care Center of successful completion of TEEX’s OSH510 (Occupational Safety & Health Standards for Construction Industry course).
2. Mailing a copy of the course completion certificate from a non-TEEX training organization for OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety & Health Standards for Construction Industry course).
3. Downloading and mailing the completed, signed, and dated OTISEC Registration Form (TO INCLUDE PAYMENT).
4. Downloading and mailing the completed, signed, and dated OSH500 Eligibility Statement.
5. Downloading and mailing the completed, signed, and dated OSHA Outreach Trainer Prerequisite Verification Form.

This VA-approved course (OSHA 500) is designed for personnel in the private sector interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health outreach program to their employees and other interested groups. Special emphasis is placed on those topics that are required in the 10- and 30-hour programs as well as on those that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide. Course participants are briefed on effective instructional approaches and the effective use of visual aids and handouts. This
Through Teach-Back Scenarios, students will review the following:
NOTE: A laptop computer is highly recommended, but not required, for this course.
Private sector personnel interested in teaching the 10- and 30-hour construction safety and health outreach programs to their employees and other interested groups.

PARTICIPANT ATTENDANCE POLICY
TEEX-PRT and the OSHA Training Institute (OTI) have an attendance policy that requires all participants to fully attend enrolled classes. In order for you to receive a certificate of completion, you must attend the entire class. We realize that extenuating circumstances may arise that would take you out of class and have implemented the following policy to handle those situations.
Below are the responsibilities and expectations of you as a participant in a TEEX-PRT course:
