Course Description


WWW007 - Water Technology - 40.00 Hours

Prerequisites

None.

Description

You will learn about pumps and motors and the construction, development, maintenance and location of wells. Are you up-to-date in issues such as bacteriology of water, raw water quality and pretreatment, water storage, water distribution and the measurement of the flow? Let us train you in water distribution, filtration, sedimentation, coagulation and instrumentation. You will be issued 40 hours of training credit toward water certification by the TCEQ upon successful completion of this course.

Note: It is recommended that participants hold a "B" Surface or Ground Water License.

    Audience

    Anyone who has completed all of the courses required for class A water certification and is involved in the operation, construction, and maintenance of water systems and the quality control of raw water for laboratory technicians and water plant operators.

    Other Information

    "Participants must register at least two (2) weeks prior to the class start date. Participants should bring current copies of all TEEX manuals they have used in prior classes. These materials will be used as the primary reference sources for the technology course."
