Extension / NFA / Area Schools
The ESTI Extension program provides over 400 class and Area School deliveries each year to departments across Texas.
- Delivered at no cost to personnel in Texas
- Host department/agency provides facility, students, and in some cases, reproduction of the student manuals
- Training for you, close to you
- Courses meet or exceed the requirements of the NFPA, SFFMA, and / or TCFP
- NFA field and direct delivery courses are also offered
Attention students attending NFA courses. You must have a Student Identification (SID) number. Please bring your SID to class.
To obtain a SID
- Register at https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid
- Select "Need a FEMA SID?" on the right side of the screen.
- Follow the instructions to create your account.
- You will receive an email with your SID. Save this number in a secure location.

- To expedite the TEEX registration process and to omit spelling errors on certificates, please complete the TEEX registration form before attending class.
- Enter the appropriate information (do not fill out the class selections - you will receive further instructions upon arrival at registration)
- Print, sign, & date
- Bring the completed form to the course/school you are attending
- Continuing Education Units (CEU)
