| Three Search and Rescue Canines, and three Canine Search Specialists from Texas Task Force 1(TX-TF1) have retired. Search and rescue dogs Rose, Blade and Maggie retired after a combined 25 years of service with the State’s Urban Search & Rescue Team, which also serves as one of the 28 FEMA Task Forces. | ||

TEEX has developed and delivered tabletop exercises that present a potential threat or incident scenario. | TEEX delivered a 40-hour Passenger Rail Rescue course last month at Disaster City in cooperation with Amtrak. The course was designed and developed in cooperation with Amtrak to provide participants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform search and rescue operations at a passenger train or commuter train disaster. | ||
