The Security Training Academy offers security professionals from both the private and public sectors a variety of training opportunities designed to provide professional development, continuing education units and higher education opportunities. TEEX security courses provide training for entry-level security officers as well as experienced security professionals seeking to acquire advanced or specialized security skills.
Through an articulation agreement with Tarleton State University, a member of the Texas A&M University System, students completing 500 hours of TEEX security training in combination with recognized prior learning/experience can receive a up to 33 semester hours of college credit toward a Bachelor of Arts and Applied Science in Criminal Justice Administration.
The American Council on Education (ACE) enables organizations to provide students access to academic credit awarded through traditional colleges and universities for formal training taken outside of conventional degree programs. Approximately 100 TEEX courses meet ACE’s exacting standards and are recommended for award of academic credit. TEEX is proud to be able to offer students an opportunity to advance their academic careers while receiving valuable training.
The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) accredits education providers meeting strict continuing education guidelines throughout the world. As a recognized provider, TEEX courses are eligible for accreditation through IACET allowing customers to earn internationally recognized Continuing Education Units for all approved training.
