Technical Assistance

Background
cityscapeThrough the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center's Technical Assistance Program, the DHS Office of Grants and Training provides technical assistance and support to State Administrative Agencies (SAA), OGT-designated urban areas and local jurisdictions to facilitate the completion of assessments and the development of state homeland security strategies and emergency response plans. Deliveries are available as on-site, state/jurisdiction-specific sessions. These sessions are available in a variety of formats, including one-on-one advisement, conferences and train-the-trainer classes.

The NERRTC Technical Assistance Program uses facilitators with experience in emergency management, emergency response, strategic planning and response planning. In addition to delivering technical assistance, NERRTC develops all handbooks, reference books, participant materials and presentations for the workshops.
