Fire Service Chief Executive Officer (FSCEO)
The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service’s Emergency Services Training Institute and the Texas A&M Mays Business School are proud to offer a new professional development capstone program for senior chief officers. The program is designed to provide advanced level professional development to sharpen leadership skills of executives with in fire service. The FSCEO course modules will be delivered by professors from the Mays Business School and the course will be held on the Texas A&M Campus.
Leadership Development Symposium
The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service is proud to offer the Leadership Symposium designed for fire and EMS service staff and command. Come join your fellow leaders as they receive up-to-date information on leadership, management, safety, budgeting and other relevant topics for these challenging times. Sessions are geared specifically to meet continuing education requirements for Texas fire officer and EMS personnel. This program is part of the Leadership Development Program which is funded by Texas general revenue.
Texas Fire Officer Program
The Texas Fire Officer Program (TFOP) is a comprehensive fire officer training and leadership program utilizing the Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II, Fire Officer III, and Fire Officer IV courses. All courses meet NFPA 1021 training requirements. The TFOP program provides training and certification to meet the challenges faced by both the Company and Command Officer.
Students successfully completing the Fire Officer I, II, III & IV courses are eligible for Pro Board (NPQS) NFPA 1021 testing and certification. All classes are eligible for American Council on Education (ACE) credit.
Executive Retreats for Fire Chief
In cooperation with the Texas Fire Chiefs Association, the Emergency Services Training Institute is proud to announce the Executive Retreats for Fire Chiefs. These retreats will offer fire service executives, at the fire chief level, an opportunity for professional development as well as to associate with other leaders in the fire service. Various speakers will present on current topics in the fire service and facilitate discussions amongst attendees. Picture a venue which provides a relaxing setting where fire chiefs network through facilitated presentations focusing on personal leadership and problem solving in the fire service.
