CHMM & REM Certification

Many CHMM and REM candidates find it beneficial to take the TEEX four-day Hazardous Materials Management Survey (HMMS) course (ENV209) prior to taking the exam. The REM test is offered the same week as the exam.

Register for the review course ENV209 -Hazardous Materials Management Survey. The review course is held Monday through Thursday before the REM test date.

The CHMM exam starts at 9:00 a.m. and the REM exam starts at 8:00 a.m. Contact TEEX at 800-824-7303 for exam locations. For students that are wanting to take the CHMM exam, contact IHMM for test dates and locations.

The mission of the Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers is to promote the environmental, health and safety profession, offer professional development and networking opportunities, and to provide value to it's membership.

Note: TEEX does not supply information packets for the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management or the National Registry of Environmental Professionals. To take either of these exams, candidates must apply to the professional certification association at least six weeks before the exam date.
